The Department of Geography started its journey on September 2023 under NEP 2020.
Within this short span of time the Department has established a Cartography Laboratory, with all the necessary equipment. Geography is an all-encompassing discipline that seeks an understanding of the Earth and its human and natural complexities – not merely where objects are, but also how they have changed and come to the present state. The department was started with an idea of propagating the knowledge of Geography at undergraduate level. The department at present is offering Four Years B.Sc. in Geography Major course and Minor course, under Tripura University (A Central University).
