The B.A. General is a three-year, full-time course divided into three parts, consisting of six Semesters. B.A. General students has the liberty to study English, Political Science, Sociology and foundation papers like English, Indian Heritage and culture, Alternative English, Environmental studies, Computer, Public Administration. Each student will have to study 4 papers in each semester. Each student has to choose 3 Discipline papers i.e. English, Political Science and Sociology and one foundation paper from 1st semester to 5th semester. And in their 6th semester they will be studying soft skills like Indian constitution and planning, Introduction to journalism, and Human Rights and Gender studies.

HCC has offered History as General Subject with permission from Tripura University.  Therefore, with effect from 2022, new academic session Students drew liberty  to choose History/ English or main elective Core with intake capacity of 50 seats, 40 English and 10 History.
