The Department of
Economics, at Holy Cross College
Agartala (Accredited with NAAC “A+”) has started in the academic year
2023-24. The aim of this department is multifaceted and contains a range of objectives, preparing students
for a deeper understanding of the world's economic systems and their roles as
informed and engaged citizens. The
department offers a Four-year B.A.
degree course under NEP 2020 in Economics, which is recognised by Tripura
University (A Central University).
The objective of this department is aligning with the broader goals of education and contributes to the
development of students' intellectual, analytical, and practical skills. The department organizes various academic and
co-curricular events, such as educational tours, industry visits, seminars,
workshops, special lectures, and competitions, to develop the skills and
exposure of the students.
