Knowledge itself does not bring about positive values, but positive values do influence knowledge and put it to a good use."

The College aims to create trained teachers with a sense of human solidarity and concern for the common good. Medium: The medium of instruction is English. Candidates coming from vernacular medium schools are offered facilities to improve their skill in spoken English. However, a student may write B.Ed. Semester examinations in Bengali. Ownership and Administration of College: Holy Cross College (Department of Teacher Education) is owned and managed by the Congregation of Holy Cross, Province of northeast India. It is governed by Holy Cross Educational Foundation; (Registration No. 3612 of 2000) registered at Agartala in the office of the Registrar of Societies, under the Societies Registration act 1860, on Nov. 10, 2000 and managed by a Managing Committee of the College.
